Boolean Operation

Execute boolean operation on the specified area.

How to Execute

Run from the Boolean Operation Dialog

Do one of the following to display the Boolean Operation dialog.

Select Boolean Operation from the context menu that appears when you click screen with right-click or right-drag.
Select Boolean Operation from the context menu that appears when you click File List with right-click or right-drag.

Dialog Parameters

Screen Boolean Operation Dialog OR

Item	Action
	Specify the type of boolean operation.
Area	Specify the area for boolean operation.
Input/Layers	Specify the targets for boolean operation.
Input/Remove Overlap First	Remove overlapped figure before executing boolean operation.
Output	Specify the name for File List.
Preview	Press button to preview the boolean operation result of the type currently specified. If Auto Preview is ON, the preview will be updated whenever the setting is changed.

For AND operation, option specific to AND can be set.

Screen Boolean Operation Dialog AND

Item	Action
Parameters/Overlap Count	Specify the overlap level of AND operation.

For SUB operation, option specific to SUB can be set.

Item	Action
Parameters/Subtracted Layers	Specify the layer to be subtract in SUB operation.

For SIZING operation, options specific to SIZING can be set.

Screen Boolean Operation Dialog SUB

Item	Action
Parameters/Offset	Specify the amount (um) by which the figure is made larger (positive value) or smaller (negative value) in SIZING operation.

Also, since SIZING is always performed on the OR of the input figure, Input/Remove Overlap First cannot be specified.

Press Run to begin the boolean operation with specified conditions. The result will be added to the File List and displayed on the screen along with the input file.

Output the Result of Boolean Operation

The result of boolean operation can be output using Cutout function, if the license allows it. The validity of the license is shown on the lower left corner of the dialog.
