Search for figures and cells at user-specified coordinates.

How to Execute

Run Directly on Screen

Do one of the following to execute Search directly on screen:

  1. Switch to Search Figure & Cell mode and left-click on the search target inside screen.

The search target can be specified from Target menu in Inspection Panel toolbar.

  1. In any mode, you can search a figure or a cell by center-clicking on search target inside screen. The action of center-click on screen can be changed in Preference. See Action/Middle Click in Preference Window/Screen/Mouse page.

  2. Right-click on the search target inside screen to open the context menu. Highlight Search in the context menu to open the search target submenu. Select the target of search to be executed.

Run from the Search Dialog

Do one of the following to open the Search dialog.

  • From the context menu of screen, hold down Shift key and select any submenu item beneath Search.
  • Right click on the blank part of Inspection Panel to open the context menu, and select Search.

Item Action
Query Point Specify the coordinates.
Target Specify the target to search.

Press OK to execute the search.

Display Search Results

The result of figure search or cell search is saved in Inspection Panel. Also, the search result is displayed on screen.

Search Figure & Cell Added

A vertex point, a vertex number and coordinates are displayed on each vertex of the searched shape on screen. However, some or all of those information may be omitted depending on how crowded the display is.

Hover over the search result in the datalist or the displayed search result on screen to highlight it on screen. Right-click the search result in the datalist or the highlighted search result on screen to open the context menu, containing items shown in the table below in addition to the default context menu items.

Display/Coordinates Toggle showing/hiding the coordinates of the search results on screen.
Color Specify the display color of the search result on screen.

Display Search Results for Curve Linear Figure

When you search for a Curve Linear figure, the Curve Linear figure whose curve section is represented by a polygon of control points connected is displayed on screen. The first point of the curve section is doubled in size, and the curve section information is appended after the coordinates. The Implicit Bezier section is converted to 3 degree Explicit Bezier and displayed by dotted line connecting the control points.

Curve section information is represented by colon-separated characters and the meaning of each character is as follows.

I Implicit Bezier
2 Quadratic curve
3 Cubic curve
C Clamped
(decimal) Ratio for implicit Bezier

And when Bezier curve, the control points on curve will be displayed in white.
