Auto Measure

Measure the width or space of the coordinates specified by the user.

How to Execute

Run Directly on Screen

Do one of the following to execute Auto Measure directly on screen.

  1. Switch to Auto Measure mode, and left-click on the target on screen.

The measurement direction can be specified from Direction menu in Inspection Panel toolbar.

Auto Measure Direction

Icon Item Action
0 degree Measure 0 degree.
45 degree Measure 45 degrees.
90 degree Measure 90 degrees.
135 degree Measure 135 degrees.
Any Angle Measure any angle. Specify the angle in the Angle for Automeasure dialog that appears when you select it.
Box Measure in two directions, 0 and 90 degrees.
Auto Angle Measure perpendicular to the nearest line at the selected coordinates.
  1. Right-click on the target on screen to open the context menu. Highlight Auto Measure in the context menu to open the measurement direction submenu. Select the measurement direction in the menu to execute measurement.

Run from Automeasure Dialog

Do one of the following to open the Search dialog.

  • From the context menu of screen, hold down Shift key and select any submenu item beneath Auto Measure.
  • Right click on the blank part of Inspection Panel to open the context menu, and select Auto Measure.

Item Action
Location Specify the coordinates.
Angle Specify the direction of measurement.

Press OK to execute the search.

Display the Measurement Results

The result of Auto Measure is saved in Inspection Panel. Also, the result is displayed on screen.

Auto Measure Added

Hover over the Auto Measure result in the datalist or the displayed Auto Measure result on screen to highlight it on screen. Right-click the Auto Measure result in the datalist or the highlighted Auto Measure result on screen to open the context menu, containing items shown in the table below in addition to the default context menu items.

Display/X/Y Components Toggle showing/hiding the length of Auto Measure result in both X and Y direction on screen.
Display/Angle Toggle showing/hiding the angle of Auto Measure result on screen.
Color Specify the display color of Auto Measure result on screen.
